Teaches graduate and undergraduate courses including Piano Performance, Piano Accompaniment, Vocal Coaching with Piano, Improvisational Accompaniment, and Singing While Playing. Course leader for Piano Accompaniment, Piano Accompaniment and Singing, and Improvised Piano Accompaniment.

Studied under Dr. Mengshuang Bian, a doctoral advisor at the Central Conservatory of Music.

Wang has held successful solo recitals and concerto performances. He has served as examiner for numerous provincial music entrance exams and was chief instrumental adjudicator for national joint exams in other provinces.

He has composed over 100 music works. Representative works include the piano piece Reflections on My Eldest Sister and the song A Text Message to My Teacher. He has received 47 awards for music compositions and teaching excellence at national and provincial levels.

Wang has published several academic papers and five major publications, including the monographs My Motherland Soars: Selected Original Songs by Hanfa Wang and Advanced Piano Improvisation Tutorial. He holds two national patents.

Notable students include:

  • Rulin Xiong, winner of Dream China singing competition.

  • Zhixuan Shao, who performed successfully alongside Lang Lang during Lang Lang’s concert tour in Kunming.

  • Several of his graduate students are now teaching piano and accompaniment at universities across Yunnan.

  • Others have pursued doctoral studies in Germany, Russia, and beyond.
