Shixian Bao

Shixian Bao, a Yamaha artist and contemporary Chinese pianist, is currently one of the most awarded and powerful pianists. While focusing on his piano career, he is also committed to piano education. In recent years, he has served as a judge in several important competitions both domestically and internationally, and many of his students have won awards in piano competitions both in China and abroad.

Shixian Bao has written Let's Not Take Detours. In 2014, he obtained the Diploma of the Conservatoire de Paris Cortot as the top student in his major. In the same year, he won the Cortot Award in France and was hailed as the “well-deserved champion” by Aldo Ciccolini, the esteemed piano maestro and chairman of the jury. He was also praised by the renowned French piano magazine Pianiste as the pianist with the greatest potential in the European music scene in the next decade.

In 2023, an analytical textbook for Czerny’s Piano Course 599 was published and distributed. In 2025, the CD Pictures at an Exhibition will be globally published and distributed.
