An emerging pianist recognized for her expressive sensitivity, refined musicality, and thoughtful interpretations.

Pianist Yung Ching Hu is an emerging artist recognized for her expressive sensitivity and refined musicality. She began her piano studies at a young age and has since developed a strong artistic voice through diverse performance experiences and international training. Yung Ching is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at the Mannes School of Music, The New School in New York, where she studies under Professor Thomas Sauer. Her previous teachers include John Vaughan, Meng-Chun Chien, and Hui-Ping Zheng, all of whom have contributed significantly to her artistic development. As a soloist, Yung Ching has presented a recital at Sung Yi Hall in Taipei, featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Joseph Haydn, and Frederic Chopin. She has also participated in master classes with distinguished pianists such as Chi-Chen Wu, Meng-Chieh Liu, Philip Nagashima, Li-Shan Hung, Yaron Kohlberg, and Eric Zuber. Yung Ching is a prizewinner of several competitions, including the Hsinchu City Piano Competition and the Taiwan National Music Competition. She was awarded Third Prize at the 3rd Singapore International Piano Competition and has also received recognition in chamber music and composition categories. Her artistic activities extend internationally, including participation in festivals such as the Casalmaggiore International Music Festival in Italy, the Azur International Music Festival, the Taipei International Piano Festival, and the Cleveland International Piano Competition Preparatory Camp for Young Artists. With a growing presence on the international stage, Yung Ching Hu continues to refine her artistry while engaging audiences with thoughtful interpretations and a deep commitment to musical expression.
